KOLAM No. 9- 8 x 8 LORD GANESH (PILLAYAR) KOLAM

This one of the simplest kolams involving Lord Ganesh(Pillayar).

Hence,it can be put during Lord Ganesh's festival such as Pillayar Chathurthi.

Here we go,draw 8 x 8 dots.

Then draw one face of Lord ganesh as shown below.



Then finally finish all other faces and colour the kolam accordingly.

KOLAM No. 8 - 8 x 8 KOLAM

This is also similar to the previous post of 8 x 8 Flower Kolam.

Put 8 x 8 Dots and draw one flower as shown below.



Finish all other flowers and colour the flowers as shown below.

KOLAM No. 7 - 8 x 8 KOLAM

This is one of the simplest 8 x 8 Kolams.

Here we go,start by putting 8 x 8 dots.Then draw one of the flower as shown below



Then finish all other flowers and colour as shown below.

KOLAM No. 6 - 7 x 7 KOLAM

Draw 7 x 7 dots and start by joining the dots as shown in the figure.The same pattern is repeated again and again.Hence for your convenience , a single pattern is shown.



Finally,join all the dots and finish the pattern.Color the pattern according to your choice.

KOLAM No. 5

Start by putting 5 dots in the middle.Repeat the same 5 dots above and below that middle line.Then start reducing the dots by one till it is 3 on the either side of the middle line.



Then join the dots as shown in the picture.



Finally join all the dots and color according to your choice.

KOLAM No. 4 - 5 x 5 KOLAM

This is one of the simplest flower kolams.

Draw 5 x 5 dots as shown below.



Then start joining the dots as shown below.



Then join the remaining dots with thick lines so that dots are not visible as shown below.Encircle two dots.



Finally,color the kolam according to your artistic value.

KOLAM No. 3 - 5 x 5 TULASI KOLAM

Here is the step by step procedure to draw a Tulasi madam kolam using 5 x 5 dots.

First draw 5 x 5 dots.Then join the dots using lines as shown below.



Draw circles around the outer two dots as in the figure below and also complete joining all the dots.



Then draw a Tulasi herb in a any manner according to your artistic thinking.



Then finally colour the kolam according to your wish.

KOLAM No. 2 - 4 X 4 KOLAM

4 x 4 kolams are very easy and simplest ones if you are a beginner.

First,draw 4 x 4 dots.Each dot should be equidistant so that it looks tidy.

Now join the dots as shown below.



Now complete the pattern by joining the other dots as shown below.




After joining all the dots ,colour the pattern as you wish.

KOLAM No.1 - 5 x 3 DOTS KOLAM

This is one of the simplest kolam patterns.You can start with 5 dots in the  middle(horizontal line) and end up with 3 dots above and below the middle line in an  interlaced manner(idukku puli).



Once,you have finished drawing dots,join the dots as shown below.



Finally,finish the pattern as shown below and colour the pattern as you wish
